PARS President Kiran Gill recently attended SmartCEO magazine's 2015 Skyline Awards in New York City. PARS was recognized as a finalist for its Superstorm Sandy beach restoration project at Fort Tilden Beach in Jamaica (Queens), NY.
With the theme of Enhanced Monitored Natural Attenuation (EMNA): An Effective Closure Strategy, Dr. Harch Gill, Senior Consultant with PARS Environmental, recently delivered a feature presentation at the Third Battelle International Symposium on Bioremediation and Sustainable Environmental Technologies, Miami, Florida. Describing the EMNA approach in detail, Dr. Gill discussed how this strategy provides a cost effective and faster approach to achieving regulatory closure.
Attended by scientists, engineers, regulators, remediation site owners, and other environmental professionals from nearly 25 countries, the Symposium is organized and presented by Battelle, a nonprofit research and development organization, and other sponsors.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service awarded PARS a contract to provide clean-up inspection services associated with the removal of Hurricane Sandy debris at the E.B. Forsythe National Wildlife Reserve in Oceanville, NJ. Here is a video from CBS News:
July 2015. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District awarded PARS and its Joint Venture partner, CEI, a contract to provide services for Hazardous Toxic and Radiological Waste (HTRW) products at various locations in the Corps' North Atlantic region.
July 2015. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District awarded PARS a contract to perform a Remedial Investigation and Feasability Study at Youngstown Munic Airport in Ohio.
July 2015. Brookdale Community College awarded PARS an on-call contract to provide environmental consulting and other professional services at its Lincroft, NJ, campus and its various satellite campuses.
July 2015. The Department of the Interior awarded the PARS-Southwest Groundwater Consultants team a contract to perform a groundwater model development study at the West Salt River Valley Basin in Pheonix, AZ.
June 2015. The Naval Research Lab awarded PARS a contract to perform an audit of its Environmental Management System (EMS). The goal of the project is to perform an external EMS audit to determine if NRL is ready to declare continued conformance with ISO 14001.
May 2015. The U.S. Department of the Interior awarded PARS a contract to perform groundwater sampling services, which is being overseen by a PARS LSRP, in East Orange, NJ. Once the work is completed PARS will provide a Remedial Action Outcome (RAO) letter.
April 2015. The National Park Service awarded PARS, and its Joint Venture partner, Renova Environmental, a contract to perform spill sampling and reporting services at the Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area. During Superstorm Sandy in 2012, portions of the area flooded releasing heating fuel oil that may have impacted soil..
